Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JewishLogos.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use JewishLogos.com (the “Site”), and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the information described here. Please also read our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address and password (we store only a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier from Google. We never see your Google password.
  • Profile information (optional): your profile photo, bio, and links to your website, X, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Agency information: the agency’s name, logo, bio and links, its members, and the email addresses of people you invite.
  • Uploads: SVG logo files, business names, company website addresses, categories and credits you choose.
  • Claims and requests: notes you add to a claim, requests to join an agency, and the reasons you give when asking us to delete a logo.
  • Communications: anything you send us by email.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage and device data: pages viewed, referring page, approximate location (derived from IP address), browser and device type, and similar technical data, collected through Google Analytics and our server logs.
  • IP address: used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting (for example, limiting login attempts and sign-ups).
  • Logo statistics: we count how many times each logo page is viewed and each logo is downloaded. These counts are not tied to your identity. Members can see totals for logos they shared or are credited on.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see section 3.

Information from other people

  • An agency owner may give us your email address when inviting you, and other members may credit you on a logo or ask to add you to an agency.

2. How we use your information

  • To run the Site and your account – create and verify your account (including sending one-time codes), sign you in, show your profile and credits, process uploads, claims, invitations and requests. (Contract / legitimate interests.)
  • To communicate with you – send transactional emails such as verification codes, password resets, invitations, and updates about your claims or deletion requests. We do not send marketing email. (Contract / legitimate interests.)
  • To keep the Site safe – review submissions, detect spam and abuse, enforce our Terms, block accounts, and protect forms with bot checks. (Legitimate interests / legal obligation.)
  • To understand and improve the Site – measure traffic and which logos and pages are useful, using Google Analytics. (Legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it.)
  • To comply with the law and respond to legal requests, including copyright and trademark notices. (Legal obligation.)

3. Cookies, Google Analytics and similar technologies

Google Analytics. We may use Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and similar identifiers to collect information including pages visited, time on site, referrer, device and browser details and approximate location. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Google may process this data on its own systems under its own privacy policy: how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by using your browser’s “Do Not Track”/privacy settings, or by blocking or deleting cookies.

Other cookies we use or rely on:

  • Login and session cookies (set by WordPress, for example wordpress_logged_in_*) keep you signed in. They are necessary for the Site’s member features.
  • Bot-protection from Cloudflare Turnstile helps us block automated sign-ups and logins and may set or read a small amount of data in your browser.
  • Google Sign-In (if you choose it) loads scripts from Google and may set cookies on Google’s domains.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you block the necessary cookies, login and member features will not work.

4. Who we share information with

Publicly. Your display name, profile photo, bio and the links you add appear on your public profile page and next to logos you are credited on or shared. The same is true for agency profiles, logos, bios and members. Please only add what you are comfortable making public. Your email address is never shown publicly, and people searching for members can find you by name only.

Service providers. We use trusted companies that process data for us, only as needed to provide their services. Those include:

  • Google (Google Analytics and Google Sign-In)
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile bot protection)

Agency owners. When you join or request to join an agency, its owner can see your name and your request. When an owner invites you by email, they provide us with your email address to send the invitation.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us. If the Site is ever transferred to another operator, your information may transfer with it, and we will tell you if your rights change.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How long we keep information

  • Account and profile data: until you ask us to delete your account, or we remove it under our Terms.
  • One-time verification codes expire after 10 minutes, and password-reset links expire soon after they are issued.
  • Logos and credits: for as long as the logo is listed. If you ask us to delete your account, logos you shared may stay listed (with your name removed or replaced by “Shared by” a generic label) unless you also ask us to delete them and we agree.
  • Claims, requests and invitations: kept for as long as needed to run the feature and to keep a record of decisions.
  • Server logs and backups: kept for a limited period for security and recovery, then deleted or overwritten.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where we need it to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update most of your information in your dashboard (name, bio, photo, links, agency details and logos you shared). You can also leave an agency or remove your own credit from a logo there.

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK and California), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier processing; and
  • not be discriminated against for using these rights.

To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days (or the time required by law). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: in the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information listed in section 1 (identifiers such as name and email, internet activity, and content you submit) for the purposes in section 2. We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, automated cleaning of uploaded SVG files, bot protection, rate limits, and restricted administrative access. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

8. International transfers

We and our providers (including Google and Cloudflare) may process information in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

The Site links to websites we do not control, including business websites and social profiles. Some outgoing links include tracking parameters (such as utm_source) so site owners can see that a visit came from us. We are not responsible for other sites’ privacy practices, so please read their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify members by email or on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
